“Ghost of the Innocent Man” is January book group pick

“Ghost of the Innocent Man: A  Story of Trial and Redemption” will be discussed at the 2nd Tuesday Book Group on January 14,  2020. In 1988, Willie J. Grimes, a man with no violent history, was convicted of first-degree rape and sentenced to life imprisonment. Author Benjamin Rachlin brings readers the story of this man’s extraordinary quarter-century-long journey to freedom from botched evidence and suspect testimony during his trial to the tireless efforts to prove his innocence and find the true perpetrator. USA Today called it “A gripping legal-thriller mystery… This empathetic book profoundly elevates good-cause advocacy to greater heights – to where innocent lives are saved.” Copies of the book are now available.
