Book & Author Luncheon to feature noted authors Lisa Gardner and Stephen Puleo
Best-selling authors Lisa Gardner and Stephen Puleo will be the featured speakers at the Friends of the Wolfeboro Library’s 39th annual Book & Author Luncheon, set for Friday, June 7, at Bald Peak Colony Club. Reservations are now open, which offers attendees not only the opportunity to see and hear first-hand from these two notable authors but a chance to support the library.
Cost of the luncheon is $65 per person.

Lisa GardnerLisa Gardner is a #1 New York Times bestselling thriller novelist with over 30 million copies of her books in print worldwide and published in over 30 languages. A self-described research junkie, Lisa has transformed her interest in police procedure and criminal minds into a streak of internationally acclaimed novels.
Her novel, The Neighbor, won Best Hardcover Novel from the International Thriller Writers, and she has also been honored for her work with animal rescue and at-risk children. An avid hiker, gardener and cribbage player, Lisa lives with her family in New England. Gardner's 28 book, Still See You Everywhere, another harrowing thriller, arrived in bookstores on March 11.
Stephen Puleo
Stephen Puleo is an author, historian, teacher, public speaker, and communications professional. He has published seven narrative history books, including Dark Tide: The Great Boston Molasses Flood of 1919.
A former award-winning newspaper reporter and contributor of articles and book reviews to publications and organizations that include American History magazine, Politico, the Boston Globe, and the Bill of Rights Institute, Puleo has also taught history at Suffolk University in Boston and at UMass-Boston. He also has developed and taught numerous writing workshops for high school and college students, as well as for adults who aspire to be writers. He also lives in New England.
As always, attendees can meet the authors and have books signed both before and after the luncheon. The Country Bookseller will have an ample supply of books available for purchase at the event.
As in past years, you will be able to support the Friends, even if you can’t attend the luncheon, by buying raffle tickets for a chance to win one of several themed baskets. Raffle baskets will be on display in the library beginning in early May, so you can figure out which one just has to be yours!
